Dream Cities
Questo progetto nato nel 2002 è un work in progress nato e sviluppatosi negli anni attraverso una serie di soggiorni nelle grandi città europee, che sono diventate nell’immaginario collettivo le città del sogno postmoderno. Le "Dream Cities" sono così le città del turismo e del consumo di massa, dei grandi alberghi, e delle multinazionali, degli shopping mall e dei musei, città dell’arte e dell’architettura moderna, del lusso e del divertimento. Luoghi in cui si evidenziano i riti e i miti della società globalizzata ma anche dell’esclusione sociale. Le immagini descrivono la vita e i luoghi di queste città con un approccio decisamente informale, una tecnologia analogica low-fi e una progettalità “debole”. Unico filo conduttore il fotografo-flaneur che con la sua cultura e la sua sensibilità ci racconta la sua personale esperienza.

Dream Cities
This project started in 2002 and it is still a work in progress as it has been created and developed over the years through a series of stays in the major European cities, which have become as a the collective dream, the cities of the postmodern dream. The "Dream Cities" are so far the cities of tourism and mass consumption, of the big hotels and corporations, of the shopping malls and museums as well as cities of art and modern architecture, of luxury and fun. Places where it is highlighted the rituals and myths of a globalized society. Images depict life and places of these cities with a very informal approach, a low-fi analog technology and a "weak" planning. The only guideline is the photographer-flaneur who, with its culture and its sensitivity, tells us about his personal experience.
