Lo schermo dell'ombra (1995-1998)
Questo lavoro, frutto di una ossessiva ricerca, è nato da un'esigenza psicologica e da una necessaria forma di riconciliazione. Inseguire la propria ombra nei luoghi più comuni e più ordinari dei propri percorsi quotidiani rappresenta un tentativo di rintracciare ed esorcizzare le origini di un disagio. Ma in questa continua caccia della parte oscura di sé, anche l'ombra dell'altro appare, trasformando il senso originario della ricerca dall'introspezione al necessario confronto con l'esterno. La fotografia diviene quindi, in questo lavoro (ma anche in senso più generale), strumento e metafora di un'esperienza di trasformazione e di crescita: lo schermo dove l'ombra, proiettandosi, può essere riconosciuta e assimilata.

The screen of the shadow (1995-1998)
This work, as a result of an obsessive research, was born from a psychological need and a necessary form of reconciliation. Chasing his own shadow in the most common and most ordinary places of your daily routes, represents an attempt to trace and exorcise the origins of a discomfort. But in this constant self-seeking of your own dark side, even the shadow of the other appears, transforming the original sense of the research from introspection to the necessary confrontation with the outside world. Photography then becomes, in this work (and also in a more general sense) a tool and a metaphor for an experience of transformation and growth: the screen where the shadow, as self-projecting, can be recognized and assimilated.
